CÚ is a fast-paced, 2D animated action-adventure that reimagines the ancient epic of Setanta’s legendary transformation into the mighty Irish superhero, Cú Chulainn. Aimed at a discerning tween audience, the project blends rich Irish folklore and fantasy with a stylised, high-energy aesthetic reminiscent of Japanese anime. From the destruction of his quiet fishing village to testing his resolve against the formidable “Code of Honour” alongside a misfit group of knight-wannabes, the story demand dynamic storyboarding to capture intense monster battles, enchanted beasts, and heart-pounding warrior training.
